Kitchen Manager (m/f)

Description
As a Kitchen Manager with TGI Fridays, you can expect an annual salary of €35,000 to €45,000 based on experience, quarterly bonuses and world-class training that is the best in the business. We are seeking positive and energetic Kitchen Manager to create an excellent and high quality dining experience for customers, a supportive and fun culture for employees and financial success for your restaurant.

Job Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Manager at TGI Fridays you are responsible for the supervision and management of all kitchen operations. You will optimize profits by controlling food cost, production, labor and increase sales through food quality, speed of service and correct stock controls.

 

Additional responsibilities of the Kitchen Manager include:

  • Manage operations during scheduled shifts that include daily decision making, staff support, Guest interaction, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
  • Provide a safe working environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents through continual repair and maintenance of restaurant.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date manpower plan of BOH staffing needs.  Prepares schedules and ensures that the BOH is staffed for all shifts.
  • Use the Great People Selection process to interview all BOH hourly Team Members, ensuring Team Members hired meet Company standards.
  • Staff, train, and develop BOH hourly Team Members through ongoing feedback, establishment of performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews on a regular basis.
  • Directly supervise 10–15 BOH Team Members.
  • Ensure food quality by maintaining high levels of cleanliness, organization, storage, sanitation of food products.
  • Conduct food demos and recipe demonstrations.
  • Responsible for purchasing, receiving and storing food products, inspection of local suppliers, use of correct products and proper par levels to minimize food waste and optimize food cost.
  • In the absence of the Operations Manager, oversee all restaurant operation

 

Requirements
As a Kitchen Manager with T.G.I. Friday’s, you must possess the superb communication and customer service skills necessary to connect with a diverse customer base and motivate a top-performing team. Our ideal Kitchen Manager is a flexible and customer-focused individual who thrives on a somewhat chaotic work environment, can manage a multi-million Euro business and enjoys positively affecting customer experiences. You must also have strong organizational and employee management skills.

Additional requirements for the Kitchen Manager include:

  • Proven Kitchen Experience in Hotel/Restaurant Management
  • Minimum 2 years management, supervisory and/or leadership experience required, kitchen management and/or progressively responsible management experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen, understanding of how businesses operate and ability to take on increased levels of responsibility
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work on your feet within a fast-paced environment
  • Business and/or customer service experience a plus
  • Great knowledge of the German and English language (spoken and written) is a must

Location of the workplace is Vienna. This is a full time position.
Your tasks:

Ensuring a smooth service process
Cooperation in all service departments
Service plan design and vacation planning
Execution of service training
Compliance with restaurant standards and control
complaints handling
Conducting sales and marketing campaigns
Collaboration with all departments within the restaurant
Organization, control, optimization and control of work processes
What you should bring with you:

Completed training in restaurant or hotel department
Experiences in similar or same position in the upscale gastronomy
High expertise
Friendly, open and communicative being
Structured operation and attention to detail
Distinctive guest and service orientation and flexibility
Ability to master stressful situations without problems
Fluent German and English (other languages ​​of advantage)
